SSC Ultimate Aero

The Shelby Supercars used to have the fastest production car, the ultimate aero twin turbo, the champ held the tittle with the record of 256-mph until the new version of the Bugatti Veyron with 267-mph.
The SS Ultimate Aero II weighs about 2,600 pounds, and it is powered by a 6.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which can product a total of 1,350 bhp (1,007 kW / 1369 PS). That power plant will enable the 2,600 lb (1,179 kg) Ultimate Aero TT to flash from a standing start to 60 mph (96 km/h) in a mere 2.8 seconds – top speed will be 275 mph (443 km/h).

The title of World’s Fastest Production Car is back on the table. Over the past five years, this title has changed hands time and time again, going from Britain’s McLaren to Sweden’s Koenigsegg to the king of supercars, the Bugatti Veyron. Its next move will see it travel across the Atlantic Ocean to a small super car maker founded in Washington State, SSC.
